Improving liver care includes finding new ways to diagnose, treat, and prevent illnesses. One way this can be accomplished is through clinical research conducted in association with Alberta Health Services (AHS) and the University of Calgary. There are many research projects, each of which may be looking at a new way of diagnosing, treating, or preventing medical conditions. Research personnel, such as physician investigators, study coordinators, and other trained research staff are responsible for appropriately selecting, enrolling, and providing follow-up throughout a research study.
We would like to ask your permission (consent) for AHS and/or University of Calgary research personnel to contact you to discuss potential trials. If you are in agreement please provide us with your information to the right.
This consent does not mean you are committed to any study. A member of the study team will speak with you or contact you at a convenient time. Studies will be explained to you and you may then decide at your convenience if you wish to participate. With the CLU, your liver health is our top priority. Rest assured, the care you receive is never contingent upon participation in clinical studies
Your privacy is also a top priority for us. Research staff are required to obey all AHS Policies and Procedures, which includes following the Health Information Act and the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
